April 20th 1864

Did Mollie's husband get wounded by our fire or was it accidental. I am very sorry indeed that he was hurt, not for his sake though but for hers. does your mother still hold her southern principles. I hope she does. Whenever you get a chance to write or hear from home please write me and let me know as it seems Father cannot discover the Underground R.R.
