Excerpt of letter to Miss Helen M. Adam from William B.T. Although
the writer of this letter has not been identified, he makes some interesting
observations about "the storm that is soon to break upon us."
Ford Camp near Somerville
13th April 64
it is reported the Yankees have been reinforced here some fifteen or
twenty thousand but they seem to be very quiet, I am afraid the present
calm only betoken the storm that is soon to break upon us with all its
fury, but we must try and meet it with strong arms and stout hearts and
leave the issue to the all wise Ruler of the Universe.
