Lincoln Assassinated

By Matt Gilmore
Civil War Reporter

On April 15, 1865 President Abraham Lincoln was killed in Ford's Theater by John Wilkes Booth. President Lincoln was simply enjoying a play, and had his life taken far too soon. After all he has done for this country it is a shame that his life had to be taken by a fool. President Lincoln was a very honorable man, and I personally am very sad that this had to occur. This will go down in as one of the most tragic events in American History. God Bless you President Lincoln, may you forever be remembered as a true American.
