Road to Appomattox
By Katie Canel
Civil War Reporter
The Civil War was one of the most brutal and bloody wars of time. It all started when the Confederacy decided to brake away from the Union. There was a seperation of free states and slave states. This did not go over well with the Northerners. Most of them believed that slavery should be aboloished. Basically the republican led by Lincoln.
The south hadn't a chance to begin with in my opinion. They had lack of men, machinery, tools and most of the neccesities that the North had. Really the only thing that they had was the better leaders.
The conferates and union fought many battles, I think we all knew the outcome. The leaders meet at the court of appomattox, for the south to surrender.
