By Kevin Shipe
Civil War Reporter
Our president was assinated while he was watching a play in Ford's Theater. The play was just about over and John Wilkes Booth was standing behind Lincoln. He had been standing back there for a couple of minutes waiting to make his move. Booth jumped from behind the curtain and shot Lincoln in the back of the head. Then Booth jumped off the balcony onto the stage. Then he snuck out the back door and went to the doctor. Booth broke his leg jumping off the balcony onto the stage. Lincoln was takin out off the theater and was placed into another building where he lay dead. There was nothing they could do for him, the bullet was to much. The doctor who helped Booth out, was later hung for helping him out.
