The south is dead, we stand here at the Appamattox Court House on the ninth of April eighteen sixty five, to celebrate the victory of the North in the Civil war. The South, lead by General Robert E. Lee Surrenders to General Grant in a peaceful manner. To end The Civil War. Although The south was not all one army the battles still went on.
