The War- Past and Present

Now that the war is over, there is only slavery on certain plantations. We don't have to fight another fight to win but we can get the constitution changed somehow. Now the African Americans can live in their own houses, live their own lives and not have to work and be punished if they don't. So now, they just have sharecrop. That is only so they can have money and lives so that they can buy things for the family. So now, the African Americans are close enough to having their own lives. That's all we have to say.
