President Abraham Lincoln was shot on April 14th. After surviving 4 years of war and helping gain non-slavery he was shot at Ford's Theatre by John Wilkes Booth. There are beleived to be many people who helped Booth in this assaination. Booth, who shot Lincoln from the private box, jumped and broke his leg, Dr. Samuel A. Mudd set the bone, perhaps not knowing what he did.
