President was Assassinated
By Travon, Shykyra, Devin
Civil War Reporter
In 1870 in Ford's Theater President Licoln was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth from behind. John Booth shot President Lincoln from behind with a pistol. John Booth was found in a warehouse a few days later. John Booth was found guilty and was hanged. Booth supported the Confederacy strongly and that was probably his motive for killing Licoln. The Confederacy probaly wanted Booth to stand aside and Booth took it into his own hands to murder Lincoln.
