The civil war was mainly over slavery.There were many reasons leading up to the civil war.Economic,constitutional,and mainly slavery.Slaves were african americans.They were owned by whites.The slaves lived in small houses near the plantation.They were sold and seperated from their families.Sometimes they would go to bed with no supper.They woke up when the sun started to rise and went to bed when the sun went down.Slavery was abolished when the civil war was over.
