Ever since slaves were captured from Africa and brought to America against their will, people have wanted to end it. These people are called Abolitionists. They try really hard to end slavery. Some of these abolitionsists were Harriet Tubman, William Lloyd Garrison, and Fredrick Douglass. The underground railroad conducted by Harriet Tubman was a big help to abolish slavery.
