Advertising information

There are different deadlines for classified ads and for display ads:

CLASSIFIED ADS: Deadline for classified ads is 5:00 p.m. on the day before publication. Deadline for Saturday, Sunday and Monday’s paper is 5:00 p.m. Friday. Ads can be taken by phone at 374-5001 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays or submit your own ad by visiting freelancestar.com and clicking "place a classified ad".

The deadline for faxes is 4 p.m. the day before publication. Fax ads to 540-374-5537.

Classified ads also can be placed by writing to Classified Ads, The Free Lance–Star, 616 Amelia Street, Fredericksburg, Va. 22401, or by visiting The Free Lance–Star office, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays.

DISPLAY ADS: Display ads can be placed by calling The Free Lance–Star advertising department at
374-5460 between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. or contact Bill Smith at bsmith@freelancestar.com

Personnel in the advertising department are available to assist customers in the placement of their display ads. The deadline for display ads is three days before publication. Multiple ads or color ads may require additional time.
