Please read these answers to commonly answered archive-related questions:
- We've recently improved our archive search page, to make it more user-friendly.
PLEASE TRY the archive search before requesting help finding a story. Go to the archive search page. If you still can't find what you're looking for, we'll be happy to help.
- Our online archive only goes back to February 9, 2001. Sorry, but we can not retrieve any stories online from before that date.
- Back issues of The Free Lance-Star are available for purchase up to 6 months after the publication date.
Call the front desk at (540) 374-5000 for information.
- Papers older than 6 months are available on microfiche at the Central Rappahannock Regional Library.
- Associated Press stories that are printed in The Free Lance-Star are not archived on fredericksburg.com.
Archived AP stories are available on the AP Wire Archive.
- Special sections of The Free Lance-Star, such as the Sports Extra, the Weddings tab, Horse Scene, are not archived online.
- Syndicated columnists (Carolyn Hax, Dave Barry, Hints from Heloise, etc.) are not archived online.
