Wedding announcements are published in The Free Lance–Star each Sunday.
Announcements must be received by noon Monday for publication
on the following Sunday.
Announcements can be submitted online at anytime, or in person at 616 Amelia Street,
Fredericksburg, VA 22401 from 9:00am–5:00pm, Monday–Friday.
Print or type all names in full; do not use nicknames. A photograph of the bride
or couple may be submitted. Black-and-white or color photographs may be submitted.
If you would like to submit your photograph electronically, please contact
celebrations@freelancestar.com
for our requirements for electronic photograph submission.
We will also accept hard copy photographs.
(NOTE: If the picture is of the couple, their heads should be as close
together as possible. Photos should be
at least 3 inches deep from top of head to waist; single- or double-column
pictures accepted.)
If you submit a hard copy photograph, you may pick it up
after publication,
or it will be returned by mail. We reserve the right to reject
information and photographs considered unsuitable for publication.
These are
paid announcements;
however, the first eight lines of copy will be given at no charge.
All announcements must be prepaid before publication
without preapproved credit accounts. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover,
American Express, cash, checks and money orders. We will confirm your
announcement via phone or email and let you know the costs (if any) before
the announcement runs in the paper.
Please note, payment (if applicable) must be made before
publication of your wedding announcement.
