The scouts, whose names were not released, were taken by ambulance to Mary Washington Hospital, where they are listed in satisfactory condition.
A third scout, 15-year-old Joshua Batkin of El Paso, Texas was in his
tent in sub-camp nine when it was struck by lightning. He was not
injured.
Scouts had issued a weather warning and sounded sirens at 4:27pm to
ensure that scouts were under cover.
