Date published: 10/11/2002 (Philadephia-AP) -- The FBI has released the identity of the victim of a deadly shooting today at a Spotsylvania County gas station. He was 53-year-old Kenneth Bridges of Philadelphia, a father of six who graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and was co-founder of a marketing distribution company. Family friend Gary Shepherd told reporters in Bridges' neighborhood in Northwest Philadelphia that family and friends -- "are understandably shocked and saddened by this senseless event." Major Howard Smith of the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Department held a briefing earlier by the crime scene, but declined to discuss such matters as what evidence was found at the scene, how many shots were fired, and how many investigators are taking part.
