Public calendar Fredericksburg The Fredericksburg City Council holds a work session at 6 p.m. Tuesday to discuss development in and around the Celebrate Virginia tourism project. Several council members want to know how they can have more control over the development of the 544-acre project. The Spotsylvania County School Board will get an update on enrollment when it meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the School Administrative Building, 6717 Smith Station Road.
The Spotsylvania County Planning Commission meets at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Holbert building on Courthouse Road. Spotsylvania County sponsors a public information meeting on the proposed Town of Chancellorsville at 7 p.m. Thursday at Courtland High School on Smith Station Road. The Commonwealth Governor's School governing board is scheduled to vote on an updated 2000-05 technology plan when it meets at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Spotsylvania Career and Technical Center, 6713 Smith Station Road. The Stafford County School Board holds a work session at 6:30 p.m. Monday. The board is expected to discuss school construction by a private company on the Armstrong property. The King George County School Board holds a work session at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the School Board Office. The board will discuss salaries for coaches, paraprofessionals, cafeteria workers and support staff substitutes; gym renovations; and insurance payments. The King George County Service Authority meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Revercomb Building. The Board of Supervisors' regular meeting will follow immediately. Supervisors will hear a report from Circuit Court Clerk Vic Mason and Del. Albert Pollard about putting court records online. They will also welcome a new member from the five who applied to fill the vacancy created when Dahlgren District representative Steve Wolfe resigned in September. The Caroline County School Board meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Caroline Middle School. Regional The Fredericksburg-Stafford Park Authority meets Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the authority office, 60 Butler Road, Falmouth.
