Lineman has fatal contact with live wire
Man dies while doing electrical work in Spotsylvania.

A utility worker was electrocuted today while performing routine work in a rural section of Spotsylvania County, officials said.

Clarence Jeter, 35, of Caroline County was pronounced dead at Mary Washington Hospital shortly after the accident, which took place about 10:45 a.m.

Jeter, a lineman, was part of a Rappahannock Electric Cooperative crew that was working on lines in the area of 13507 West Catharpin Road, officials said. A piece of equipment he was working with somehow came in contact with a live electrical line.
