Date published: 10/29/2002 (Tacoma, Washington)-- The family of a 21-year-old woman fatally shot here in February says they are satisfied that the case has been solved. Joseph Nichols, the uncle of Keenya Cook, says the family now knows what happened to Cook. Police have not made any arrests, but authorities found guns used in the Cook killing and in a shooting at a synagogue and they have a witness who says he gave Washington DC area sniper suspect John Allen Muhammad those guns. Investigators say they have a long way to go before charging with Muhammad with the killing and shooting. No one was injured in the temple shooting. Nichols says he and his wife Isa became friends with Muhammad after helping him with his auto-repair business. When Muhammad divorced his second wife, Isa Nichols helped her get her three children away from Muhammad. Nichols came home February 16th to find her niece dead at the front door. Cook's baby was upstairs and unharmed. Muhammad and 17-year-old John Lee Malvo face murder charges in Maryland, Virginia and Alabama.
