Deputies seek gunmen who robbed dry cleaners
Stafford County authorities are investigating an armed robbery that took place Tuesday morning in Chatham Square Shopping Center. Sheriff Charles Jett said an employee at Lee's Cleaners was in the back of the store about 7:25 a.m. when she heard someone come in. When she came to the front, she was confronted by two masked men. One was brandishing a handgun and demanding money, Jett said. After giving the suspects an undisclosed amount of money, Jett said, the woman was pushed to the ground. The suspects then took her wedding and engagement rings before fleeing toward the rear of the shopping center. The suspects were described only as white males of average height and builds. Both had bandannas concealing the lower part of their faces. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call 658-4400 or 659-2020. --Keith Epps
