Flood Watch issued
Heavy rain prompts Flood Watch for parts of the Fredericksburg area.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch until 6 p.m. for parts of the Fredericksburg area, including Caroline and Westmoreland counties.

Today's forecast calls for occasional rain, heavy at times, totalling about an inch in most areas.

The chance of rain today is 100 percent.

More rain is expected tomorrow and Friday, with highs in the mid-40s tomorrow and the mid-50s on Friday.

The weekend is expected to be dry with highs in the upper 50s on Saturday and the mid- to upper-60s on Sunday.
