MWC senior killed after losing control of car on Interstate 95 in Caroline Date published: 4/29/2003
A student at Mary Washington College was killed Tuesday morning after he
lost control of the car he was driving on I-95 in Caroline County. Alexander Jay Naden, 22, of Virginia Beach was driving a 1993 Ford Taurus in the southbound lanes, State Police Sergeant David Chewning said. The Taurus was traveling at high speed in the center lane, moved into the left lane and went out of control, going off the left side of the highway, Chewning said. It struck a concrete column supporting the State Route 632 overpass across the highway. The accident was reported at 11:52 am. Naden, the only person in the car, was not wearing a seat belt, Chewning said.
