Severe thunderstorm watch for area

Much of the area is now under a severe thunderstorm watch until 7 pm tonight.
The watch covers Northern Virginia, including the Fredericksburg and Culpeper areas , DC and western and central Maryland.
The National Weather Service is warning that along with the thunderstorms there could be lightning, two-inch hail, and winds gusting to 70-miles-an-hour.
