Fredericksburg Unity Church of Fredericksburg, 3607-B Lafayette Blvd., will host a healing and transformation evening using spirit-guided music and prose for opening the heart on Saturday, Sept. 27, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Advanced tickets may be purchased at the church for $17 or $20 at the door. Living Word Fellowship Church, 1500 Stafford Ave., will host Pastor Tom Hamilton from Pleasantdale Church of God in Atlanta at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Hamilton and his wife, Brenda, are former members of Living Word Fellowship Church. Tower of Deliverance Church, 1808 Princess Anne St., will celebrate 20 years next weekend. The Rev. Joseph D. Henderson will be consecrated to the office of bishop at the church at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27. On Sunday, Sept. 28, a celebration banquet will be held at Holiday Inn Select, Central Park, at 5 p.m. Spotswood Baptist Church, 4009 Lafayette Blvd., will hold a Sunday school Growth Conference for all teachers and those interested in teaching, with Cliff Jenkins as instructor, Oct. 3 and 4. Jenkins is pastor of New Hope Fellowship, Springdale, Ark. There will be a rally from 7 to 8 p.m. on Friday, with age-graded workshops from 8:15 to 9:15 p.m. On Saturday, the rally will be from 9 to 10 a.m.; age-graded workshops from 10:15 to 11:15; a refreshment break from 11:15 to 11:45 a.m.; and workshops again from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Call the church at 898-0757 to register by Sept. 24. No child care will be provided. Wilderness Baptist Church will hold its homecoming Sunday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Joe Stover as guest speaker. Dinner on the grounds will follow the service. An afternoon music program at 2 p.m. will feature Notorious and The Lakers. Victory Bible Church, 12341 Five Mile Road, will hold a parenting class starting Sunday and continuing next Sunday, Sept. 28, from 5 to 7 p.m. Mine Road Baptist Church, 11111 Post Oak Road, will hold revival services Sunday at 6 p.m. and Monday through Wednesday at 7 p.m. each night. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Keith Williams from Sharon Baptist Church, Scottsville. Special music will be presented by the Autumnairs and choirs from Hebron Baptist Church, Edgewood Christian Church and Mine Road Church. A nursery will be provided each night.
