Reasons to vote for Republicans for office, Take 2 Date published: 10/19/2003
In response to Charles Davis' letter ["Reasons to vote for Democrats," Oct. 2], I would like to encourage all registered voters to vote for Bush next year if: You are for life--as in ruining women's lives by taking away their right to control their own bodies (sounds a lot like the way Saddam Hussein treats women). You believe that having the word "God" plastered everywhere will solve all of life's problems instead of parents just doing their jobs. You are a bigot but hide behind the Bible to justify your ignorance. You want a tax cut for the wealthy so they can buy another SUV and increase their portfolios. You feel that President Bush (who lied to get us into a war to begin with) should be allowed to make decisions that involve young men's and women's lives even though he was AWOL from the National Guard for a year. You feel your right to bear arms is more important than saving a child's life. Carrie Schaefer Spotsylvania
