(Falls Church-AP) -- A person has been hit by a Metrorail train at the East Falls Church station.
Metro spokeswoman Cheryl Johnson says it happened shortly after eleven this morning. It's not immediately clear if the person fell, jumped or was pushed.
Johnson had no word on whether the person was still alive, but an Arlington County Police spokesman says the victim is to be airlifted to a hospital. The Arlington County Fire spokesman could not be reached, and a fire dispatcher referred all calls to Metro.
Johnson says Orange Line trains are using a single track through the East Falls Church station.
