Rudy, Big Tom back on Survivor series
Show taped last fall in Panama.

Date published: 1/13/2004

(New York-AP) -- Rudy and Big Tom are back on Survivor.

CBS is welcoming back 18 favorite castaways from earlier shows to compete, including two famous Virginians.

Among them: gruff guy and former Navy SEAL Rudy Boesch of Virginia Beach and "Big Tom" Buchanan from Rich Valley, in southwest Virginia.

They face off on February 1st after the Super Bowl in "Survivor: All-Stars." The 18 castaways will compete for $1-million in Panama.

As usual, the competitors cannot talk to the media about the show. Buchanan's parents say he was gone from October to Mid-December, and came back 40 pounds lighter and lots of bug bites.

The 76-year-old Boesch says he'll keep doing it until he wins.
