Claire Bigelow, 76, longtime Prince George's County, Md., activist, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004, after a long illness.
Ms. Bigelow was a resident of Heartfields Assisted Living for the past five years.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, David H. Bigelow of Fredericksburg; four children; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at Cedar Lane Unitarian Universalist Church, 9601 Cedar Lane, Bethesda, Md. 20814.
