Why is it so wrong to oppose homosexual behavior? Date published: 5/6/2004
Preventing a drug addict from overdosing on crack or cocaine is not "mean-spirited," nor is taking the keys away from a drunken friend so he or she doesn't kill anyone. So, why is there so much hatred and name-calling demonstrated toward us, who offer the truth about homosexuality and help to those with unwanted same-sex attraction? Recently, there have been marches and debates in support of same-sex marriages in the Fredericksburg area. From college students all the way down to kindergartners, seduction into an unhealthy behavior is occurring in the schools of our state and our nation. As a former lesbian who serves on the steering committee of Concerned Women for America of Virginia, I must share some truth on the subject to residents in the Fredericksburg area. I was a college coed minding my own heterosexual life when an older woman seduced me into homosexual behavior. Oh, it started out "gay" and exciting, but the day came when I wanted out. Homosexual behavior ultimately ends in death: physically, emotionally, and spiritually. It is not bigotry to tell you the fact that all are created heterosexuals. There are not two types of human beings. Some heterosexuals just choose homosexual behavior. It is frequently the result of something adverse in early childhood, but it is changeable.
