Toddler Time: Stories, songs and finger plays. For 2- and 3-year-olds with a caregiver. 9:30-10 a.m. Sign up.

I'm Tellin': Have fun making tellable tales come dramatically alive: folktales from around the world about tricksters and heroes. Grades four to six. 10:30 a.m. to noon. Sign up.

Lunchtime Matinee: Watch your favorite picture books come to life on the screen while enjoying your lunch. Drinks provided. For families. Noon to 1 p.m.

Helping Dogs: Charlotte, the therapy dog, will be our special guest as we salute man's best friend. Grades kindergarten to six. 2-2:45 p.m. Sign up.

DIY Preschool Time: While older siblings are at their program, come make a simple craft with your child. 2-2:30 p.m.

RAD: Self-defense techniques for girls and women. Seventh grade to adult. 6:30-9:30 p.m.

Teen Internet Arcade: The Gates Lab is reserved for teens only. Play computer games and visit with one another in a "rules relaxed" environment. Grades seven to 12. 2-3 p.m.

Preschool Time: Stories, songs, and finger plays for 4- and 5-year-olds and story-time-experienced 3-year-olds. 10:30-11 a.m. Sign up.

Book Bunch: Join other fourth- to sixth-graders to talk about your favorite books. Drinks and snacks provided. 4:30-5:30 p.m. Sign up.

Alphabet Soup: Drop-in story time for families and day-care groups. Join us for stories, songs and fun. For 2- to 5-year-olds. 10:30-11 a.m.

Saturday, July 17

Belly Dance by Anthea: A basic introduction to the ancient art of belly dancing, followed by a chance for you to try it yourself. For grades seven through adult. Noon-12:45 p.m.

Mother Goose: Join us twice a month for a lap-sit program of rhymes, songs and activities for babies and toddlers under 2 and their caregivers. 9:30-10 a.m. or 10:30-11 a.m.
