THE 105TH CELEBRATION of the Warrenton Horse Show takes place Sept. 2-5. This show, traditionally a very popular Labor Day weekend event, draws local and out of state exhibitors.

Exciting features of the show include Hunter classes, Ladies Side Saddle, Leadline, Fox Terrier races and Fox Hunter classes.

Local Fox Hunters with the Commonwealth Fox Hunt sponsor a Hunt Night Hospitality Tent at the show and participate as exhibitors as well. Warrenton is the first of the Fox Hunter Championships culminating at the Washington International Horse Show in October.

Saturday night features the terrier races, a police dog demonstration and a bridleless horse exhibition. The Fauquier Hospital Benefit takes place on Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m. The Thoroughbred and Non-Thoroughbred breeding classes and the Sallie B. Wheeler USEF National Breeding Championships for yearlings, two-year-olds, and three-year-olds will also take place on Saturday. The Fox Hunter classes will be held on Sunday.

The show begins at each day at 8 a.m., with evening classes on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Admission for spectators is $5 at the gate; children under 12 are free.

For more information, call (540) 347-9442.

Note

The Sept. 5 show at Lake of the Woods has been moved to Oct. 24. October's regularly scheduled show on Oct. 3 will also be held.
