Whether your Thanksgiving turkey's still just a pipe dream wafting from the kitchen or the reason you polished off that bottle of Tums, try to savor what's left of the day.

Tomorrow brings the official beginning of the frenzied Christmastime season, and with it, a blizzard of yuletide events. So, in case you can still make out the numbers on your December calendar, here are some holiday happenings to consider.

Dec. 3

l Christmas in Historic Warrenton. Runs every Friday until Christmas. Hayrides, entertainment, food, Santa and his elves in a Christmas shop for children only. Free admission. 540/347-4414.

l Culpeper Community Christmas Tree Lighting, the Depot on South Commerce Street. 5:30 p.m. Hot apple cider, cookies, caroling. 540/825-4416.

l Holiday Parade, Main Street, Orange. 6:30 p.m. 540/672-5216.

l Montross Christmas Festival. Lighting of the Rescue Tree by the Montross Volunteer Rescue Squad, illumination of town. 804/493-9623.

l Pops Concert, University of Mary Washington, Dodd Auditorium, Fredericksburg. 7:30 p.m. 540/654-1956.

l Rising Sun Tavern Open House, 1304 Caroline St., Fredericksburg. Carolers perform and refreshments are served at the house built by George Washington's brother Charles and later converted to an inn. 6-9 p.m. 800/678-4748.

l "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever," Massaponax High School at U.S. 1 and Guinea Station Road, Spotsylvania. 8 p.m. Runs again Dec. 4-5 at 2 p.m., Dec. 10-11 at 8 p.m., and Dec. 11-12 at 2 p.m. Adults $10, students and seniors $7, children under 12 $5. l 11th Annual Christmas Tour of Homes in Culpeper, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. $15 in advance, $20 day of event. Includes a standard flower show sponsored by the Calfee and Culpeper Garden Clubs. 540/825-8200.

l Annual Christmas Parade , Fredericksburg. 6:30 p.m. Annual downtown event with floats, bands, drill teams and a visit from Santa Claus. 800/678-4748.

l Belmont Holiday Open House, Belmont, Falmouth. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Runs again Dec. 5, 1-4 p.m. A free evening of holiday music, decorations and refreshments in the main house and studio. 540/654-1015.
