Benjamin E. Jordan
Benjamin Ennis Jordan Jr., 58, of Fredericksburg passed away in his sleep Monday, Nov. 29, 2004, after a long battle with cancer.
Mr. Jordan was born March 2, 1946, to the late Barbara Carpenter and Benjamin E. Jordan Sr. He worked with his family and friends at Commonwealth Carrier of Fredericksburg.
Benjamin is survived by his three loving children and three grandchildren, Benjamin E. Jordan III and his wife, Crystal, and their children, Taylor and Logan, all of Fredericksburg, Sheryl Jordan Gill and her husband, Michael, and their son, Michael Lane, all of Richmond, and Brian Lee McIntosh and his wife, Laurel, of Fredericksburg; five sisters, Elizabeth Boswell, Nancy Williams, Gladys Cooper, Wanda Kaus and Brenda Peyton; one brother, Keith Jordan; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Jordan.
Benjamin's family will receive friends Wednesday, Dec. 1, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Found & Sons Funeral Chapels and Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg.
A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Charles Olivieri officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Cecil "Macky" Newcomb, Jack Boswell, John Cooper, James Wray Stitcher, Walter Williams, Joseph Kaus, Jack Heflin, Michael Gill and Ralph Early.
The family requests memorial contributions be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 332 N. Lauderdale St., Memphis, Tenn. 38105 (901/495-3300).
