Audrey Chamouris

Audrey S. Chamouris, 75, of St. Petersburg, Fla., died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2005. She was born in Chase City and moved to St. Petersburg in 1980 from Richmond.

She was valedictorian of the 1947 graduating class of Maury High School in Norfolk. She retired as an educational para-professional from Mirror Lake Adult Education Center with the ESOL program after 10 years, and she was a volunteer with the Bayfront Medical Center Auxiliary, both in St. Petersburg.

She was a poet and a gifted seamstress who loved gardening, playing bridge and taking pictures of everyone she knew. She was of the Protestant faith. Audrey is survived by one daughter, Lou Ann Watson of St. Petersburg; one son, Thomas L. Chamouris Jr. of Richmond; two sisters, Jerry S. Dameron of Kilmarnock and Martha S. Ashby of Gloucester; one brother, James A. Sizemore of Fredericksburg; and four grandchildren.

Anderson-McQueen Funeral & Cremation Centers, St. Petersburg, Fla, is handling the arrangements.
