Melisha Rose "Dink" Cochran, 29, of Dunkirk, Md., died unexpectedly Sunday, Feb. 13, 2005, at Calvert Memorial Hospital in Prince Frederick, Md. She was born in Cheverly, Md., on May 19, 1975. She graduated from Courtland High School and had been employed as a bus aide with Prince George's County, Md., school system. She enjoyed her job, NASCAR, country music and embroidery. She is survived by her father and stepmother, William and Dale Cochran of Spotsylvania County; her mother, Deborah Stevens of Dunkirk; brothers, William Cochran of Dunkirk and Roy Cochran of Fredericksburg; sisters, Darlyn and Danielle Stevens, both of Dunkirk; her maternal grandmother, Evelyn Latta of Berkley, W.Va.; four nephews; and seven nieces. Her stepfather, Dan Stevens, and a brother, Lester Purkey, preceded her in death. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, Feb. 20, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Raymond-Wood Funeral Home, 10684 Southern Maryland Blvd., Dunkirk, where a funeral will be held Monday, Feb. 21, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Southern Memorial Gardens, 10155 Ward Road, Dunkirk.
