Mr. and Mrs. Samuel

Athena J. Evans and Reginald D. Samuel were united in marriage on Jan. 8, 2005, at the Crabtree Marriott in Raleigh, N.C. A dinner reception and live band performance immediately followed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Willis and Barbara-Anne Evans of Raleigh, N.C. The groom is the son of Reginald G. Samuel and Cynthia V. Scott of Caroline County.

The bride is a graduate of Bethel High School in Hampton and Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) where she received a bachelor's degree in psychology. She is employed by luxury leather goods manufacturer Louis Vuitton.

The groom is a graduate of Caroline High School and Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) where he received a bachelor's degree in residential property management. He is finishing his Virginia Tech master's degree in urban and regional development planning (real-estate development) by taking courses at Harvard University. He is employed by the largest Real Estate Investment Trust in the nation and purchases apartment communities along the East Coast for his company.

Mr. and Mrs. Samuel enjoyed their honeymoon in St. Lucia. The couple reside in Boston, Mass., and plan to move to the Fredericksburg area within the next 10 years.
