Classes/Seminars

Socializing

Bingo at the Senior Center in Spotsylvania County for players 55 and older. Meets on Mondays and Wednesdays, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Marshall Center. Participants should bring an item to donate for prizes. 898-7529.

Fredericksburg Senior Citizens crafts every Monday, 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Dorothy Hart Community Center, Room 3; bridge every Friday, 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Room 2; canasta every Friday, 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Room 3. 371-2429.

SERVE's prescription assistance for low-income seniors and income-eligible uninsured adults is available by appointment. Call Crystal at 288-9603, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Volunteers needed by Rappahannock Area Agency on Aging to advocate on behalf of residents in long-term-care facilities, to counsel seniors on Medicare, Medicaid and long-term-care insurance issues, and to speak to groups of seniors on Medicare fraud prevention.
