Brian Alan Lane

Brian Alan Lane, 18, of Stafford County died unexpectedly Thursday, May 5, 2005, while visiting family in Frankfort, Ohio. He was born April 14, 1987, in St. Louis, Mo., the son of Bruce A. and Bonnie K. LaBine Lane.

He is survived by his parents, Bruce and Lynda Lane of Stafford and Bonnie K. Lane of Genoa, Ohio; grandparents Jean Lane and Jim Newman, Bill Lane and Janis Lane, all of Frankfort, Alana LaBine of Port Clinton, Ohio, and Bill and Kathy Queen of Bullhead City, Ariz.; great-grandmother Evelyn Lane of Frankfort; two brothers, Levi and Bret Lane of the home; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Kenneth C. Lane, Bruce J. Bierman and Joe LaBine.

Brian was a senior at North Stafford High School, where he was active in the Future Business Leaders of America. He had been accepted as a student at Ohio University in Athens, where he would have started classes this fall. He was an avid sports fan and was a great supporter of his high school football team and all Ohio teams, especially the Cleveland Browns and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Another favorite pasttime was his love of harness racing. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America and had achieved the rank of Life Scout and had also received the advanced brown belt in tae kwon do. While living in Tucson, Brian and his family attended 22nd Street Baptist Church, which was an important part of his life.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 9, at Ebright Funeral Home, Frankfort, with Pastor Randy O'Donnell officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 8, at the funeral home.
