I did not believe that America would lose its representative form of government. But I was wrong. Foreigners and lawbreakers have more say in government than legal-minded Americans. Politicians pander to lawbreakers and tell the rest of us what Teresa Kerry said in the campaign: "Stick it." ["Immigrants take a stand," May 2.] The left and the media are very successful salesmen. They blame the president for everything from nail fungus to high gas prices. And, like Hitler, they repeat the lie enough times until most folks believe them. That's their plan. They blame the match company because they set their house afire, but accept no responsibility for holding the match by the window curtain until it blazed. For those of you who graduated from school or college after 1960, the president does not purchase military hardware. Congress does. The president does not spend money. Congress does. The president is not responsible for high gas prices. Congress is. Several members of Congress are demanding a "windfall profits tax" on oil companies. Who will benefit from such a tax? The money will not be returned to the hard-pressed American public; it will be spent by the worthless congressmen responsible for this mess. We Americans need to take back our government at any cost. How? Term limits now. David GreenSpotsylvania
