She will attend Duke University in the fall and plans to major in political science. Daniel Guymon was born in Leesburg and has attended school in Spotsylvania County since kindergarten. He has been interested in piano, drawing, sports and computers from a young age. He began taking piano lessons at age 8 and still plays. He draws cartoons for enjoyment. One of his favorite sports is basketball, and he also likes to run and lift weights. He attended the Commonwealth Governor's School. Because of his interest in computers, Daniel will attend Virginia Tech to study computer engineering. He received three scholarships: Dean's Scholar Scholarship, Fredericksburg Hokie Alumni Scholarship and the Robert C. Byrd Scholarship. |
