William Satterwhite Jr. and Patricia Boquist are Caroline High School's valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively, for 2006.

William is the son of W. Todd and Kimberly A. Satterwhite. He was a member of the National Honor Society and president of the Beta Club. He was a member of the Caroline High School Marching Cavaliers for five years, serving two years as drum major and also playing tenor sax and trombone. He was a member of the Caroline High School Symphonic Band for four years, playing trombone, tuba and baritone. He worked weekly with the children's choirs at County Line Baptist Church. William will attend Virginia Tech as one of only six freshman recipients of the Pamplin Scholar Award that provides for in-state tuition and fees for four consecutive years. He will study music and math and plans to teach secondary school band and choir, advanced high school math, or both.

Patricia Boquist was born in Newport News and homeschooled by her parents through the sixth grade. Her father is pastor of Cardinal Baptist Church and her mother is a registered nurse at Mary Washington Hospital. Patricia was inducted into the National Honor Society in her senior year and was also involved in the talent show. Church has always been a great part of Patricia's life, and she has been involved in church choirs, musicals, dramas and cantatas. She also participated in Acteens, completing four activity books which focus on doing mission work in the community. She has been an Acteens Panelist for the past four years, helping to organize an annual weekender for teenage girls in Virginia churches. Last year she was president of the Youth Council at Cardinal. She is also a member of IM For Him, an interpretive movement group that performs once a month at the church. Last summer, she traveled to Charleston, S.C., with Cardinal's youth group to attend M-Fuge, a weeklong mission trip. In the fall, Patricia plans to attend Liberty University in Lynchburg, where she will major in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) with a focus on Hispanic Ministries. From there, she will either become a teacher in a Hispanic area or continue to seminary, where she will earn her Masters in Missions and become a missionary in a Latin American country.
