Lillie B. Tate

Lillie B. Tate, 85, of Fredericksburg died Friday, July 21, 2006, at her residence.

Born in King George County, Mrs. Tate was the widow of Dr. Coleman Maurice Tate. She was a retired homemaker and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church (New Site).

Survivors include two sisters, Minnie Mobley and Pearl Lyons, both of Philadelphia; and a foster daughter, Latricia A. White of the home.

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 28, at Shiloh Baptist Church (New Site) in Fredericksburg, with the Rev. Theodore A. Cunningham giving the eulogy. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery in Sealston.

The body may be viewed from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 27, at A.L. Bennett Funeral Home, Fredericksburg, and one hour before the service time Friday at the church.
