Barbara Holz Fink, 81, of Charleston departed this life Wednesday, July 26, 2006.
She was born June 9, 1925, the daughter of the late Arthur John Holz and Lucile Frances Meadows Holz.
Barbara graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School and Virginia Intermont College, and worked for Union Carbide and the state of West Virginia.
Barbara was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She was a Girl Scout leader, member of Edgewood Pool, the Toastmasters Club and was a charter member of Midland Garden Club. She was a parent volunteer and active in the PTA at J.E. Robins, Lincoln Junior High and Stonewall Jackson. She was an avid artist, quilter and was an award-winning floral arranger.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Robert William Fink.
She is survived by her two daughters, Beckie Fink Mohn and her husband, Geoff, of Huntington, and Beverly Fink McNeill of Fredericksburg; grandchildren, Mary Ellen Mohn of Charleston, Margaret Holz McNeill of Fredericksburg, Katherine Lee Mohn of Huntington and Daniel Robert McNeill of Fredericksburg; a sister, Phyllis Holz Hoblitzell of Florida and North Carolina; and a son-in-law, Howard O'Cull.
The family would like to thank Mike LeSueur, Pam Williams, Kathy Fields and Teays Valley Center.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 29, at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Ronald Schlak officiating. The funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bartlett-Burdette-Cox Funeral Home, Charleston, W.Va.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 1423 Lee St. East, Charleston, W.Va. 25311; or to Hospice Care, 1143 Dunbar Ave., Dunbar, W.Va. 25064.
