Date published: 8/14/2006 Mary Ann Barber Mary Ann Barber, 74, a native and lifelong resident of Stafford County, passed away Friday, Aug. 11, 2006, at Mary Washington Hospital. She was a member of Mount Ararat Baptist Church and a 1952 graduate of Stafford High School. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Charles F. Barber; one son, Larry Barber of Stafford; two brothers, Frank Carrington of Manassas and Harold Carrington of Lake Charles, La.; one sister, Frances Osakowicz of Newburg, Md.; two grandchildren, Charles A. Barber and Carey Marie Barber of Spotsylvania County; one step-grandchild, Troy Heflin of Spotsylvania County; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nellie Marie Carrington and Newton Everett Carrington of Fredericksburg; and a brother, Aubrey Carrington of Fredericksburg. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg, with her brother the Rev. Frank Carrington officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
