Sophomore Alison Weckstein scored two goals and junior Meredith Marcon added a goal and an assist as the Eagles' field hockey team routed visiting Goucher College 5-0 in a Capital Athletic Conference match Wednesday at the Battleground.
UMW will host York College tomorrow at 1 p.m. in another CAC contest.
VolleyballThe Eagles dropped their home opener to Virginia Wesleyan College in four games at Goolrick Gymnasium.
Freshman hitter Anne Lutkenhaus had a match-high 19 kills, and also added 16 digs for the Eagles, and sophomore hitter Kelley Hueber added 15 kills.
UMW (2-1) will compete in the Muhlenberg College tournament today and Saturday.
