Junior Meredith Marconi took a pass from senior Jena Elliott and made a diving shot to score the game-winning goal 7:24 remaining in the first overtime, giving the University of Mary Washington's field hockey team a 2-1 victory over Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pa., yesterday. Eagle sophomore Allison Weckstei gave UMW a 1-0 lead in the first half before Franklin & Marshall tied it up in the second half. Goalkeeper Katherine Brown had 19 saves total for the Eagles. The Eagles (4-2) will visit Bridgewater College on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
