Bennie L. Frye
Bennie Lee Frye, 75, of King George County, died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006, at Mary Washington Hospital. He had retired in 1988 as a painter at Fort A.P. Hill. Mr. Frye is survived by two daughters, Shirley Anderson of King George, and Brenda J. Scott of Triangle; two sons, Darrell Frye and Carrol White, both of King George; two granddaughters, Yolanda and Ronda Frye, both of King George; one goddaughter, Lisa Horne; four sisters, Mary Ware, Peachie Scranage and Margaret Hill, all of King George, and Sylvester Lumpkin, of Spotsylvania; three brothers, Nelson, George, and Philip Frye, all of King George; and two great-grandchildren. On Thursday, Sept. 28, remains can be viewed beginning at noon with the family receiving friends from 7 to 8 p.m. at Cedell Brooks Funeral Home, Port Royal. A funeral will be Friday, Sept. 29, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church Ambar in King George with the Rev. Franklin Grant officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
