Fredericksburg

Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will host a World Aids Day interfaith service at 7:30 p.m. Friday. The special service of remembrance, renewal and rebirth is being sponsored by Metropolitan Community Church and Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. The God's Own Choir will perform and a special offering for Fredericksburg Area HIV/AIDS Support Services will be received.

Spotsylvania County

Bethlehem Baptist Church will celebrate its Family and Friends Day tomorrow at 3 p.m. Dinner will be served after the morning service. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Elmo Jones from Mount Tabor Baptist Church, Milford.

First Baptist Church of Love will host the Rev. Al Watkins from Strong Tower Ministries as speaker at the 11 a.m. worship service tomorrow.

Stafford County

Beth Sholom Temple will celebrate the installation of Rabbi Devorah Lynn Friday at 8 p.m. An Oneg Shabbat reception will follow in the social hall. The event will continue Saturday, Dec. 2, at 9:15 a.m. with a Torah study led by Elyse Goldstein, followed by a Shabbat morning service at 11 a.m.

Hull's Memorial Baptist Church will hear the Rev. Harold Snellings speak at the 11 a.m. worship service tomorrow. Snellings, a lifetime member of the church, retired from American Airlines. He is a graduate of Washington Bible College and attended Capitol Bible Seminary. He teaches the Adult Senior Men's Class.

Caroline County

St. James Baptist Church, Milford, will hold its annual Usher's Day program during the 11 a.m. service tomorrow. Guest preacher will be Ritta Armstead from Shiloh Baptist Church (New Site) in Fredericksburg. Lunch will be served following the service.

Westmoreland County

Macedonia Baptist Church will host its annual Men's Day celebration tomorrow at 3 p.m. The Rev. Lloyd Fox from Grant's Hill Baptist Church will be the guest speaker. Dinner will be served following the 11 a.m. service.

Fauquier County

Silver Hill Baptist Church, Bealeton, will hold a building fund worship service at 3 p.m. tomorrow. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Earl S. King from Crossroads Baptist Church, Calverton. Dinner will be served at 2 p.m.

Gospel Sings/Concerts

The Lake of the Woods Church will host The Asaph Ballet Ensemble in a performance of the "Nutcracker Ballet: Clara's Christmas," Saturday, Dec. 2, at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The free concert is part of the church's Making Joyful Noise series. A reception will follow in the church's Gathering Place. Call 540/972-9060 for child care.

The Lions Club in Colonial Beach will hold a gospel sing Friday at 7 p.m.. Featured guests will be Arise Gospel Singers and Justified.
