Jan. 27: Spotsylvania Park & Recreation volleyball clinic, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Girls between the ages of 12-14 are eligible. The registration fee ($25 for county residents, $35 for all others) and form is due by Jan. 26. Participants should bring a bag lunch, gym shoes, knee pads and a water bottle. Guest instructors include Baltimore closer Chris Ray, New York Mets starter John Maine and Travis Beazley, a pitching prospect in the Boston farm system. The camp is open to players age 8-18 and cost is $100 if pre-registered or $150 Feb. 10-11: YMCA winter racquetball tournament at the Massad YMCA, 212 Butler Road in Falmouth. Divisions: Men's Open, A, B, C and Novice singles; Women's B and C singles; Open/A and B/C doubles. Fee: $30 for the first event, $12 for the second. Deadline: Feb. 7.
