As a Caucasian American with Irish and Indian heritage, I agree with Michael Kellam's letter ["Let's not let the NAACP ," Jan. 28].
I would like to know when the scholarship sets in to help a poor white student off to college, or which exact month is dedicated to my Irish kindred who labored here in America, and at what point my American Indian heritage is represented by more than an image of casinos and buffalo-hide tents.
Everyone should have pride of heritage without fear of stepping on the toes of someone of another heritage.
